Aging and Camp
When you get to this age range the role you play at camp can vary. This is a time of transition for many. Attending camp as an older teen can help prepare you for future transitions from high school to college and beyond. Many camps have Leader/Counselor in training programs to help teens and young adults gain leadership experience. Every camp is different but reaching out to your camp regarding volunteer and leadership opportunities is a great first step if you want to get involved as leader versus camper. Ask your local camp about specific programs available to you and what the camp experience looks like for older teens and young adults.
