Some students do change high schools or go to a new college. If you have been educating school staff about your bleeding or blood disorder, you should still do this when going to a new school. If you move into a new community, you should meet and talk with the staff at your new school. Remember, your Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) or local bleeding disorder organization can help with educating others at the new school. For more information on talking to high school staff and your rights in schools, please go to Engaging School Faculty and Staff, and Your Rights: Legislation and School Accommodations.
If the new school you are going to is after high school, please go to Choosing a College or University, Vocational Training, and Life on Campus for more information.
