As a parent or caregiver, it is good to know there are many different treatments available for those living with a bleeding disorder. These treatments work in different ways in your child’s body to help their blood clot. The number and types of treatments available to your child depend on which bleeding disorder they have, the severity, their age, and what types of bleeding they need to address. As your child gets older, they may have more treatments available to them. Visit the Treatment Options section to get details on all the treatments available. You can even get information on some that might become available in the future. It is best to speak with your child’s health care provider to determine what treatment option will work for them.

Once you know what your child’s treatment options are, it is also important to understand the basics of how to use the treatments. At this age they can get more involved as well.
