Treatment Options for Bleeding Disorders

Treatment options to prevent and treat bleeds for people living with a bleeding disorder have improved tremendously in recent years. More advancements are currently being researched as well. Some bleeding disorders have more treatment choices than others, and some are only for people of a certain age or only for specific situations. Some of these treatments prevent bleeds from happening, some can treat bleeds once they start, and some are able to do both. All these considerations make it important to understand all options available to you.  When learning about treatment options, you may come across a lot of technical and medical terms, like “bispecific antibody” or “antifibrinolytics”.
