As a parent or caregiver, it is good to know there are many different treatments available for those living with a bleeding disorder. These treatments work in different ways in your child’s body to help the blood clot. The number and types of treatments available to your child depend on which bleeding disorder they have, the severity, and their age. This can also depend on what types of bleeding you are trying to stop or prevent. For example, the treatment for preventing joint bleeds may be different than the option for preventing bleeding during dental work.
