John M Faria is an executive leader currently in the software industry. John holds his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in IO psychology with a minor in Literature and Criticism. In addition, He holds an MBA with concentrations in international business and management from Assumption College. His family includes Stephanie, his devoted wife of over ten years, Isabella, his beautiful ten-year-old daughter, and Elijah, the rambunctious three-year-old who all reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
John’s career extends for twenty years and includes enterprise technology solutions, logistics engineering, organizational change management, and corporate leadership. He continues to work as a Director of Customer Success at Descartes Systems Group, a global leader in logistics software solutions. His passion as an avid technologist enables him to tackle world-class challenges that improve and grow top companies all around the world. In addition, he is involved in many activities among the bleeding disorder community including volunteerism, fund raising, policy/issue advocacy and community education. Most recently, John was team captain of the Oklahoma Hemophilia Foundation’s Men’s fitness challenge with our team placing second in the overall competition.
John has been fortunate to take advantage of many valuable experiences as part of the bleeding disorders community. Many of the early experience with the non-profit organizations that assist individuals with bleeding disorders enabled John to become the man he is today. These organizations include NHF’s Chapter communities as well as private foundations that aid and enable positive experiences to young people with bleeding disorders. He looks forward to continuing to enable current and future organizations to improve and grow as the community evolves into the future. Our chapter community continues to thrive, overcoming adversity each and every day.
John continues to advocate within the community, a proponent of the philosophy that the nature of living with hemophilia offers a unique perspective, one that is committed to positive living. He looks forward to continuing to be an active contributor in the hemophilia community, both as a grassroots patron as well as an advocate for broader challenges that impact the entire bleeding disorders community.
